Exhibition "Bizarre Fairy Tales" by Bohdan Polishchuk

11 - 25 January 2019

Within the framework of the exhibition, there were two screenings of the mystical  performance"Passion Captured. Reboot "  (directed by Bogdan Polishchuk).

"Passion Caught" is a modern mystical performance close to a ritual, which can be identified as Ukrainian and at the same time not shabby; bright and at the same time aesthetically refined; "ours" and at the same time modern; inextricably linked to the world and especially the European context.

"Captured Passion" is Poetry. Excerpts from the poem "Finding the Involved" by the genius Ukrainian poet of the twentieth century Hrytsko Chubai were read.

"Caught Passion" is Music. Variations on the themes of the suite "Caught Passion" by the contemporary young Ukrainian composer Vsevolod Sirenko.

"Caught Passion" is about Costumes. Thanks to them, this performance can be interpreted as a theatrical demonstration of costumes.

"Captured Passion" is Space. Black on black is the slogan of the performance.

Some things remain invisible, although they definitely exist. Some things can only be felt or realised to exist. The world is a kind of black space that can only seem empty. However, if you immerse yourself in it, you can feel how full of life it is, feel all its layers. And the main thing is to realise that black is not mourning and not the absence of something at all.... It is something that lives deep in our hearts, dreams and genes.
